FCT Police command nabs 13 cult members in Abuja
THE Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has arrested 13 members of rival cult groups who have been terrorizing the residents of Apo area and its environs in the’s Capital city, Abuja.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday by the spokesman of the. Command, DSP Anjuguri Manzah.
The PPRO said that the arrest of the suspects was the sequel to police intelligence report gathered after a recent violent clash between two rival cult groups, the Ayee and Arobaga confraternity, at Apo which left some casualties.
According to the statement, “the arrested suspects are: Nonso Nnaji ‘M’, Chukwuebuka Charles Okoye ‘M’, Sunday Ogbodo ‘M’, Peter Chinedu ‘M’, Jude Ezeh ‘M’, Agha Henry ‘M’, Ndubisi John ‘M’, Johnson Victor ‘M’, Johnson Victor ‘M’, Ikenna Ejike ‘M’ A.K.A Gorilla, Fredric Emeje ‘M’, Micheal Omaliko ‘M’, and Emeka Joseph ‘M.
He Stated that the arrested suspects have also been identified through credible police intelligence as the master-minds of most of the violent cult clash in the area in the recent time.
He quoted the Commissioner of Police FCT Command, Sadiq Bello advising parents and guardians to pay closer attention to the activities of their children and wards, especially the places they go and the kind of friends they keep as the police were battle ready to flourish out all criminal minded elements in the City and its environs.
He added that the CP has directed that the suspects should be transferred to the Command Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) for discreet investigation after the suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of the ongoing investigation.
